VAST EMPTINESS.  This storefront in downtown Rochester, NY kept haunting me each time I walked past it during the urban clearance phase of the 1970s.  I took two photographs of it and filed them but kept thinking about them.  This is the fourth of a series of studies, and the largest.  I may be done with it. Stretched watercolor, 28x42 inches.

Note: this painting was accepted into the 2015 Rochester Art Club annual members show.  On display at Barnes & Noble gallery, Pittsford, NY until end of November.
